Dear friends,
Everything began with a few magic notes.
The time of unforgettable moments,
The time,
For an entire village
To join the fun.
A reviving change for some of us,
A lot of joy for others,
Time to forget about daily problems.
And to help those magic notes hold
on,
Today,
I have decided to talk about
music, talent and hope.
When Experience Speaks
At 14, I gathered a band of my own.
My parents did so right that they gave me a guitar,
At the time when I was just getting on for 12.
I, in turn, would like to give the same brilliant opportunity to
someone else
By giving a guitar into a child’s hands
Because even such a simple gesture may become a real incentive for
him/her,
And you will understand that I
have a reason for saying this.
An inseparable
sphere of playing which is essential for uncovering a gift
Think about your grand-children,
children, teenagers or just people that are close to your heart.
How many times you have said or heard the words: “Instead of
amusing yourself, you’d better do this or that!”,
or else “Do it right now, you have already been playing for
too long!”
What I want to say is very simple:
When you speak about children, you cannot separate the sphere of
playing from their life.
Because learning new things and making fun, studying and playing are
all natural for their age.
Unfortunately, limited by the frames of everyday preoccupations,
teenagers and children from “problem” families have
a tendency to forget this, and sometimes take no notice of their gifts.
A gift of musicality, for
example
Music: Joy and
Spontaneity
When I meet teenagers or children from poor families and give a guitar
into their hands, you understand that I have a right to a smile. |
| |
|
Yes, I have a right to a very
broad smile.
|
| |
| Because at
any age – not only at their age – we understand
that music in itself is a thing of genius! |

Music as a Lift
Force of the Society
And though all my encounters show
that music brings comfort and joy, for the Francis Goya Foundation
music is also a serious thing.
Because I do not only strive to awaken a passion for music or artistic
self-expression in destitute children,
The desire to play music is important; but I want to make something
that is more.
I want to make an extensive
course of studies available for the most gifted children and teenagers. |
| |
The Francis Goya
Foundation: An opportunity for destitute children and teenagers to open
toward a new life
The aim of the Francis Goya Foundation is to help the most destitute
children and teenagers find the so much-needed support in the long
run, if they want to go in for music or dancing, and, maybe,
to find a professional occupation.
Meeting destitute
children and teenagers
To be able to opportunely help
destitute children find their musical or artistic way, I meet them
personally.
I visit:
• Villages in the mountains,
• Villages in the
valley,
• Poor suburban
districts,
• Orphanages
• Hospitals,
• Schools.
With my guitar.
To see for myself that I may bring something to their life with the
help of music.
The guitar that I give to them
is indeed the easiest way to approach music. |
| |
And when I see that
children demonstrate a
sincere interest to music, singing or dancing, I do my best so that
such children, in their everyday life, should have access to the
necessary facilities or classes.
The Francis Goya
Foundation: The Structure
In the course of time, I have
understood an obvious thing: to be competent and to achieve good
results, I need support; I should work out a structure and have an
energetic team.
I have never doubted my decision to create a structure for control and
distribution of aid to destitute children and teenagers all over the
world.
In May 2011, I created the
Francis Goya Foundation.
The
Francis Goya Foundation: Collection of Funds
To help poor children and teenagers through
music lessons or artistic self-expression classes, the Francis Goya
Foundation needs donations.
The Francis Goya
Foundation helps destitute children and teenagers gain access to
musical instruments and studies.
Because they have no access to
musical instruments.
Because they have no instructors who would help reveal and further
develop their musical or artistic gifts.
And the Francis Goya
Foundations, through its workshops, provides an opportunity for the
most gifted ones among them to gain successful musical or artistic
experience in a milieu that is dynamic, competent, and fully focused on
their success and their future.
With the help of
your donations, the Francis Goya Foundation:
1.Finds
and buys musical instruments for low-income young
people from all over the world.
2.Finds and delegates instructors for
teaching children from low-income families all over the world.
3.Helps destitute children and teenagers find access to
premises near their homes where they can practice
music, dancing or artistic self-expression to their choice.
4.Helps talented children and teenagers from
“problem” families develop their gifts (in
music, dancing or arts).
We are constantly searching for premises,
musical instruments and instructors; therefore, by making a donation to
the Francis Goya Foundation, you are rendering real help.
By making a donation to the Francis Goya Foundation, you help to:
Premises or spaces in full
conformity with the available resources,
So that poor children and
teenagers could, if they wish, study music, dancing and singing.
So that musically-gifted
children and teenagers from “problem” families
could develop their gift over a long term and with support from
instructors of the Francis Goya Foundation.
Making a donation to the Francis Goya
Foundation means finding or building such premises
as:
•
Schools,
• Ateliers,
• Spaces,
Where children from
low-income families could practice music, dancing or other art.

it must be a Global Project.

aims: make long-term courses available to musically or

“problem” families, and undoubtedly let them feel
confidence in a better future. |
